Honda Challenges us to drive again

::: Honda - DRIVE EVERY DROP :::

Let's be honest, if you're in the market for a car you've most likely had to undergo a serious re-evaluation of your priorities since your last car purchase. Most likely from a perspective of "oh I would look good in that" to "how much will it cost me to drive it". The cost of gas has been a real drag not just for car enthusiasts but for the adventurers, the travelers, and the people who just love to get in their car and go for a drive.

Honda, in promotion of their new i-VTEC engine launched an experience aimed at challenging consumers to 'spend less and drive more' in the context of a consumer sponsored trip across Asia. Fueled by 'drop donations' from consumers, the drivers continue on an aimless quest across Asia that you can follow along with via video, pictures, and a mini-blog. The donations come in the form of involvement in the site, such as taking a poll or watching a video will donate x drops.

There's so much to like about this experience. The site has a playful sophistication supported with rich sharable content that give this initiative legs beyond the url. Throughout, we're introduced to inspirational characters that are diverse as the the cultures they crossover and we're never left wondering what it's all about because everything you do earns the drivers drops of fuel.

Driveeverydrop.com inspires us to want to drive again because it challenges us to re-think our preconceptions about the gasoline engine and reminds us of how liberating and fun driving really can be.
